How can sport change lives, transform society and raise funds for causes that matter?

Sport for Development is one of the fastest-growing areas in the business world. More and more organisations, foundations, local authorities, clubs and associations are using sport as a strategic tool to strengthen teams and bring social responsibility to life.

INFINITY helps its clients do this through a proven method. Pedro Queirós has already turned sporting challenges into more than €1 million for humanitarian projects in Nepal, Kenya and Portugal. To this experience he adds a degree in Business Management, a career in sales and marketing at multinational companies and a master’s degree in Sports Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?”

Martin Luther King Jr.

On April 25, 2015, little Simran felt the earth shake in Nepal. She saw her village being destroyed in a matter of seconds, but she never lost hope. This book is part of the National Reading Plan in Portugal, and helps young people to reflect on the themes of volunteering, solidarity and what to do in the event of an earthquake.

In January 2017, Pedro Queirós unintentionally embarked on what would be his first Humanitarian Adventure: 1,200 kilometres on foot across India from the door of the Taj Mahal in Agra to the gates of Camp Hope in Kathmandu. A journey through the deepest roots of consciousness and ultimately, what defines the human being: pain, freedom and the desire to help others.

The courage to make a difference lies at the heart of being human. Portuguese Pedro Queirós and Lourenço Macedo Santos were caught up in the earthquake that destroyed Nepal on April 25, 2015, but instead of leaving the country, they decided to stay and help the people affected by the tragedy, in a mission on the ground that became known as Obrigado Portugal, nós também somos Nepal. This book, “Vocês voltam amanhã?”, has a foreword written by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
