INFINITY Expeditions in the Himalayas
INFINITY

Journeys measured not only in altitude and kilometres travelled, but in lives touched.

INFINITY expeditions are not tourist packages. They are journeys of personal transformation, designed and led in the field by Pedro Queirós, the sixth Portuguese climber to reach the summit of Everest. Each group is small, each participant is closely accompanied and each journey leaves a positive mark on the communities that welcome us.

“Never hesitate to go far away, beyond all seas, all frontiers, all countries, all beliefs.”

Amin Maalouf

Preparation before departure

On mountain expeditions, the exclusive Adventure Coaching programme prepares you in the months beforehand, with Rui Silva, the fifth Portuguese climber to summit Everest.

Small groups

Real impact

3% of the value of each trip goes to local communities, and the group decides together where to direct the support.

On April 25, 2015, little Simran felt the earth shake in Nepal. She saw her village being destroyed in a matter of seconds, but she never lost hope. This book is part of the National Reading Plan in Portugal, and helps young people to reflect on the themes of volunteering, solidarity and what to do in the event of an earthquake.

In January 2017, Pedro Queirós unintentionally embarked on what would be his first Humanitarian Adventure: 1,200 kilometres on foot across India from the door of the Taj Mahal in Agra to the gates of Camp Hope in Kathmandu. A journey through the deepest roots of consciousness and ultimately, what defines the human being: pain, freedom and the desire to help others.

The courage to make a difference lies at the heart of being human. Portuguese Pedro Queirós and Lourenço Macedo Santos were caught up in the earthquake that destroyed Nepal on April 25, 2015, but instead of leaving the country, they decided to stay and help the people affected by the tragedy, in a mission on the ground that became known as Obrigado Portugal, nós também somos Nepal. This book, “Vocês voltam amanhã?”, has a foreword written by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
